Account Deletion
You can delete your project-b account at any time, from inside the app. There is no waiting period and no need to email us.
How to delete your account
- Sign in to the app.
- Open Settings.
- In Danger zone, choose Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your user record and language preference;
- your membership of every household you belong to;
- your personal categories and personal budgets;
- the expenses and IOUs you recorded, and your member entry in each household;
- your sign-in identity at Clerk — email address and sessions — which is removed last.
If you own a household, ownership is handed to another member first, so the shared records stay with the people still using them. If you were its only member, the household and everything in it goes too.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Can't sign in?
If you cannot get into your account to delete it, email us from the address you signed up with and we will delete the account for you.
